Is your ministry or outreach organization doing what it should be doing to protect the vulnerable people you serve? There is what is required in order to not be considered negligent under the liability insurance policy terms and then there is what is ethically and morally the right thing to do to protect our community.

An ad hoc group has been exploring the issue of  background screenings along with a process for making the initial input process less cumbersome for the families we serve. The goals are to improve practices and reduce costs. Included would be an online site where each participating group could see which of their volunteers already had a background check and at what level of screening. The next step is a webinar to see a live demonstration of the system and learn how it might work.  Here is the detail about joining that session.

Here is the information that can be used to register.  They can either listen on their PC with speakers and ask questions via chat or microphone or can call in on the number listed as well as watch on PC.  Because of the large number potentially, I set this up as a webinar so we can mute everyone to cut down on noise.

They will need to click on link below and register and then will receive information.

Have a great day.
