Isaiah 6:8 “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

I have a good friend, a sister in Christ, who said “If you hear the same verse or prompting three times, you had best pay attention. God is trying to tell you something important.”

This one is for you, Karen.

  • If you have been hesitant to step up and raise your hand to volunteer for fear that you would be stuck in the position until you were carried out.
  • If you just want to help out but not be in charge.
  • If your schedule is such that you can’t commit a set day and time consistently.
  • If you haven’t found your niche and want to “try some things out”.

Consider adding your name to our roster of volunteers. We get requests for someone to fill an incidental need for one of our neighbors on a regular basis. We call those on our roster to see if it will fit into their schedule – if it doesn’t we call the next person on the list.

Possible opportunities for service:

  1. Provide ride to job interview
  2. Do someone’s shopping
  3. Assist with minor home repair
  4. Lawn care
  5. Make telephone calls
  6. Data entry
  7. Assist with resume preparation
