Salvation Army Hancock County is a critical strategic partner for Love INC of Greater Hancock County (#loveincghc). The funds they receive through their annual Red Kettle Campaign stay here in Hancock County to provide assistance to our neighbors for medical needs, rent, utilities and other emergencies. They also take gifts to nursing home residents several times a year and make needed age-appropriate school supplies available to the high school students in the county. In the summer there are free camps available for children and families hosted at the Salvation Army campsite.

The operations for Salvation Army Hancock County are coordinated through a local  advisory council. There are always opportunities to serve your neighbors by helping out on this council. They are also seeking a coordinator for their 2015 Red Kettle campaign (see earlier post for details).

There are three wonderful volunteers who are instrumental to the partnership with Love INC. Jill Null, Karen Horton and Peggy Phillips share responsibilities as Service Representative. These caring, compassionate ladies meet with those we refer, pray with them and assist them in their time of need. Please take time to reach out to these ladies and thank them for their commitment of time.
