Good Intentions

More excerpts from Bob Lupton’s book Toxic Charity.

Under the Heading Bad Business Equals Bad Ministry:

“Summerhill needed true friends and partners, not soft-hearted volunteers, friends good enough to clearly define roles and expectations, partners with whom to negotiate responsible if/then contingencies.”  .”..no strings attached service needs some strings attached.”

Unselfish investment should:

  • never be mindless
  • never be irresponsible
  • always calculate the cost
  • always consider the outcome
  • always be a partnership

Luke 14:28 “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?”
