We have an opportunity coming up that could help us reach our goal of establishing long term financial sustainability. Accomplishing this goal would allow the organization to reduce its reliance on the churches we serve for operational support and relieve the need for frequent fundraising events.
Match Day, is a unique 24-hour event for those nonprofits, with Hancock County Community Foundation (HCCF) endowment funds, to increase gifts to their endowments while securing funding for immediate needs. Match Day, coordinated by HCCF, aims to leverage community support for 12 nonprofits like ours that serve the community.
Each gift made on July 24 between 12:00 am and 11:59 pm will be matched TWO ways. 1) Every community gift received during the 24 hours period will receive a portion of the HCCF pool of $80,000 for the organizations, immediate needs. 2) All community gifts will be endowed and matched $0.50 for $1 up to $7,500 per organization from a $90,000 pool thanks to a grant from Lilly Endowment.
