We have already had several calls from seniors requesting help with lawn mowing. If you might be available in the this summer please call the clearinghouse (317) 468-6300 so we can put your name on the calling list.
Also, we have a mower that we could make available but it is need of some small engine expertise. It did run according to the person we got it from – just needed a tune up. After replacing the plug, cleaning the filter, draining the gas and putting in new it won’t start. If you think you might help us get it purring again please call.
The furniture ministry which is so ably managed by our partners at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Greenfield has been gifted a good-sized number of items that we need to pick up next Wednesday 4/13 at 1:00 and take to our warehouse. Considering the weather I see out my window and the uncertainty of Indiana springtime, this process would go much more smoothly if we were able to have a box truck available.
If you are able to assist with this request please call the Clearinghouse at (317) 468-6300.
The annual Hancock County Volunteer Fair is next week. This is a great opportunity to meet the folks who are already involved in activities in Hancock County and learn about volunteer opportunities.
Check it out.
We have had an unusually high volume of requests for rides and for help with housekeeping. We are wearing out our cast of regulars.
I know it is Springtime and we all have a long list of projects but if you might be able to spare just a few hours here and there please consider calling us to have your name added to our on call list for these services.
